About Adam
Adam’s mission is to increase the number of teams who experience the thrill of great achievement.
Adam is a former professional climber, 2nd place national champion, 2nd place junior world champion, and has completed multiple first ascents around the world, including in the Arctic Circle. He has been featured in documentaries, including the series Reel Rock alongside Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold.
In the business sector, Adam has been brought in to lead two growth acceleration efforts, both of which led to successful acquisitions, including one by IBM.
Adam now draws on half a decade of research studying a selection of the greatest projects in human history to inspire teams to set a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) and to provide them with tools and frameworks that help teams beat the odds and experience the thrill of great achievement.
His clients include a range of organizations, from 10-person startups to multi-billion dollar enterprises, but all share a curiosity to understand what are the common elements of great projects and a drive to achieve something truly exceptional.

The Great Project Study was founded to answer a single question: What are the common elements it took achieve the greatest projects in human history.
The five-year study analyzed a total of 18 projects—12 great projects and 6 epic failures—with a combined budget of $120 billion.
Regardless of industry, budget, or era, the Great Project Study shows there is a set of enduring skills and behaviors that separate epic failures from great projects.
